June 15, 2008: Trent Bigelow succeeds David Lee as the Chairman of SSM.
April 11 and 12, 2008: SSM is featured at the Redwood City Green Transportation 2008 hosted by Green Buildings Exchange.
January, 2008: SSM joins Progressive Automotive XPrize at the North America International Auto Show in Detroit, MI.
October 19 and 20, 2007: SSM is featured at the Santa Monica Alt Car Expo.
October 12, 2007: Kernel™ Preliminary Design Review (PDR) begins.
August 3, 2007: SSM becomes an official Automotive X-Prize contender.
April 27, 2007: Society for Sustainable Mobility enters Automotive X-Prize Competition.
April 14, 2007: First SSM-OSGV newsletter is released.
April 10, 2007: SSM-OSGV Kernel project is featured at WorldCarFans.com.
March 29-April 12, 2007: SSM-OSGV is featured at the AutoRAI car show in Amsterdam with the help of the HRO team
March, 2007: Roeland Hogt conducts Kernel CDV1 kick-off meeting at the Rotterdam University (HRO) Automotive Engineering - more 60 students attended
February, 2007: OSGV changes its name to Society for Sustainable Mobility (SSM).
January, 2007: OSGV releases preliminary Electrical System Block Diagrams, VMC specification and Motor Assembly Specification.
December 09-10, 2006: OSGV is awarded runner-up at the Alt Car Expo in Santa Monica and shared a booth with the City of Santa Monica.
November, 2006: OSGV chairman, David Lee, visits Hong Kong and China to promote open design concept for automotive engineering and to explore partnership opportunities with local universities.
April 05, 2006: OSGV is accepted by IHCenter.org and become 501(c)[3].
